Understanding the Nuances of Neurodiversity Through ADHDPresenter, Lowell, MA April, 2022 Hosted a presentation for students, professors and staff at Middlesex Community College; took a deep dive into how gender, class and race as well as sexism, racism and classism are at the core of how contemporary wisdom both defines and treats ADHD in medical and educational spheres.

Wicked Wellness WeekendWorkshop Facilitator, Bedford, MA November, 2018 Lead in class activities and discussions about mainstream and academic definitions of health vs. wellness at Middlesex Community College; helped students debrief wellness experiences (e.g. tai chi, yoga, martial arts, and dance classes), and connect their experiences to academic research and theory; supported students in developing ideas for ethnographic research projects.

Writing Across Curriculums: Shifts in Writing ConventionsPanelist, Bedford MA May, 2018 Served on a panel alongside faculty and staff at Middlesex Community College from a broad range of disciplines; topics discussed included: bridging academic with professional writing, writing as a career path, the connection between social science research and writing, creative writing and professional writing.

How Colonial Relations Between the U.S. and Puerto Rico Affected the Aftermath of Hurricane MariaDiscussion Leader, Bedford MA November, 2017 Hosted a local journalist to speak about an article she published on NPR about her experience witnessing Hurricane Maria as a native of Puerto Rico; Collaborated with an English Professor at Middlesex Community College and lead a classroom discussion on how U.S. and Puerto Rican colonial relations affected the U.S.’ treatment of Puerto Rico during and after Hurricane Maria.
